I truly believe that none of us are as smart as all of us and none of us got here by ourselves. With that in mind I acknowledge and thank the people who have contributed to a rich personal and professional life as a life long learner. My father, Gordon W. Fisher - He taught me to believe in myself and modeled filling a need in his community when he saw one. Dr. Jim Cross - One of the most significant teachers in my life. Jim taught me that flexibility is the first lesson of education. His years in the secondary and graduate level classroom have left a lasting impact on thousands of students and hundreds of educators. Nadine Baretto - My former principal who encouraged me to step out of the classroom I loved, to accept new challenges in administration. Peggy Alexander - Who allowed me to stretch my skills beyond my own staff and is passionate about helping all students succeed. Dr. Thomas Harvey - His knowledge of Educational Organization and Leadership is amazing. He too believed in my ability and was essential in my doctoral status. ULV doctoral students 1997-2000 - I learned a great deal from fellow students in my first Community of Practice. I have been influenced by the research and work of: DuFour, DuFour and Eaker Micahel Fullan Douglas Reeves William Dagget
